Soumyadeep : About Me

Hi,

I am Soumyadeep from Kolkata India, presently doing my Ph.D from Dept of Chemical Engineering at University of Malaya, KL, Malaysia. Age 28, Male, Indian (Bengalee), 5'4", wt 53 kg and dark with mirror cracking looks. That pretty much sums up my profile :)

I have a little bit of experiences in diverse fields including academics, research, teaching, consultancy, project management and business development. I have been educated from some prestigious institutes and INTEGRITY is one common lesson that I have learned from all of them. It is always at the top of my priority list, whatever I do.

I have interest in a large number of fields, even if it is irrelevant to my current job, and I try to learn whatever comes into my way. 256 ways for lacing shoes & a sophisticated microscope incites similar curiosity in me. Also, Rabindranath Tagore said "Jiboner dhon kichui jaay na fela" (Life's treasures are never wasted) or as Steve Jobs said about "Connecting the dots" in his famous speech at Stanford in 2005. This is the most valuable lesson I have learnt in my life.

However, striving for excellence and attention to details is my motto wherever I stuck my fingers into. My ability and talent may be limited, but I always give 110% effort. Failure never disheartens me, because I have seen enough of it ....
