I have academic interest in the fields of Groundwater Treatment, Environment, Industrial Safety and Occupational Health Management Systems.
I held the post of Project Team Leader in an international project worth Rs 1 crore (USD 200,000) at Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission, Barrackpore. My job was to ensure the success of the project which involved installation of 6 Subterranean Arsenic Removal (SAR) plants in rural Bengal with help from a consortium of researchers from UK, Germany, Spain & the Netherlands. The project (DM 06-880), was funded by the World Bank, Washington DC, USA. After completion, this project has been praised by many International organisations and has won quite a few prestigious awards (www.insituarsenic.org).
Also, for 1 year, I served in an EHS consultancy firm in the capacity of operations-in-charge.
My Ph.D in University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur) is oriented towards innovation of contaminated groundwater remediation technologies. At present I am working as Research Assistant in Malaysia on a similar project regarding Groundwater treatment.

Academic Qualification:
B.Sc with Chemistry (H) from St Xavier's College, Kolkata in 2005.
M.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2007 from University of Kalyani.
M.Tech in "Safety & Occupational Health Engineering" from Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU), Shibpur in 2010.
Currently doing Ph.D on remediation of contaminated groundwater in Chemical Engineering Department, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
